Yokohama Music Festival

Last week, I performed at the festival. It was by pure coincidence that on my program, I had played pieces by Rachmaninov and Chopin. They have both suffered from the political circumstances of their countries and as we see what is happening in Ukraine, the composers’ agonies seemed very real.

I can only wish for this terrible, heart-aching situation to end quickly and that peace prevails the world.
